We've Been Busy...

Sorry we haven't had a chance to update the blog lately. We've all been very busy. We're doing well and Luke is getting very big. He now weighs 15 pounds at 3 1/2 months old! He's quite the good eater.

I started working part-time in the office at our church as secretary and doing some basic design work. I work 3 mornings a week from 9-1 while Marty watches Luke; it really works out well and I enjoy the work.

Wednesday, I begin teaching at Clark State 2 evenings a week. A guy that Marty knows through Hustead Elementary referred me for the position. I'm really looking forward to it since I'll be teaching drawing; it should be fun!

More to come when I have more time ...

A week of sickness and anxiety

A week ago last Saturday, we took a trip to Berea, Kentucky with my parents. Luke was so good sleeping in the car almost the entire way there and back. Berea is a little college town about 30 minutes south of Lexington. There were all kinds of cute shops. The school is very artsy and the students are mostly artisans who sell their crafts to help pay for school. They also have great pottery, the best of which is Bybee, which my mom collects and uses to cook and eat with. It was a nice day.

Fred started feeling sick on Sunday, and mom and I were sick on Monday. The intestinal crud lasted off and on most of the week. Then on Saturday I woke up throwing up. Thank God for Sandy coming over to help me out while Marty was working overtime. It's difficult to watch a baby while vomiting. Sandy and Marty watched Luke Sunday so I could sleep, and now I feel a ton better, thank God.

My anxiety has been up all week. I keep waking up with my heart pounding and tightness in my chest and feeling stressed. I'm considering going back on Effexor, so please keep me in your prayers for this. I've had high anxiety for many years, but went off the medication before getting pregnant with Luke.

Thank you, friends and family, for being such a blessing to us, for your prayers, and for helping us out so much! We love you all!
